JUPITER : THE FAILED STAR AND A SUCCESSFUL PLANET
JUPITER, as we all know that it is the biggest planet in the solar system at the present time. But what if I tell you that it is a failed star then what you'll say. Yes, Jupiter is a failed star.
The most common star system we see in the entire observable universe is a binary star system where two stars orbit each other as shown in fig2, but where is our sun's binary star, isn't it Jupiter,
Jupiter mostly consists of hydrogen which is also found in a star's core.
So basically, our sun has stolen the required hydrogen for Jupiter to start nuclear fusion in its core and because of lack of pressure and temperature in the core of Jupiter, the reaction doesn't start .subsequently, it played a major role for our civilization because if Jupiter would be the star then we shouldn't be here.
Fig2:The binary star system producing gravitational waves
Jupiter at the time it formed-- Just after the formation of the sun Jupiter is formed it was so massive, that its gravity didn't let any planet to form. It ruptures all the planets and threw some to the outer solar system. Jupiter showed his real violence until the formation of Saturn.
Saturn pulled it outward, which helped inner planets to form.
Today, we see Jupiter protecting us from groups of the asteroids to come on Earth.
This proves that our solar system is not only a star system but it's a family of planets.
