SOLAR WIND : FRIEND OR FOE?
Solar wind; one can ask that if space has a vacuum how solar winds are possible, but the idea is that solar winds are not the ordinary type of wind.
The solar wind is a stream of charged particles i.e nuclei of helium, hydrogen ion, and many charged particles. If planets are not protected by magnetic fields SolarWinds can take away the atmospheres and in the end, they leave them dry, dry because liquid can never be in a liquid state without any external pressure and solar wind can take off the atmosphere resulting in low pressure above them. So, on a small scale, SolarWinds can be disastrous for civilizations. Mars lost its ecosystem because of solar wind.
But if you see them on large scale we'll find out that they protect us from cosmic danger.
scientists found out the sun's heliosphere around the solar system.
As SolarWinds move through a solar system they pass many other planets but it not stops and goes on till the outer Kuiper belt and forms a reflective shield of solar winds which protect it from cosmic rays (protons and helium nuclei) they travel with nearly the speed of light.
This can be disastrous but solar wind stops it to enter the solar system
But if it enters with high intensity it will tear apart the DNA of many creatures on earth and can lead to the mass extinction of Civilizations. So, we can say that solar wind is helpful for us,
So we got to know if something seems tough to us, that doesn't mean that it is always dangerous to us, sometimes it can also be beneficial to us.
